PBA cancels Alaska- NLEX game in Polomolok, South Cotabato

In a report, the cancellation of Alaska-NLEX game in Polomolok was due to security issues more particularly the recent clash between the Special Action Forces (PNP- SAF) and BIFF-MILF forces in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.

"In light of the recent encounter between police commando and separatist forces in Maguindanao, as well as the heightened security risks and threats posed by continuing insurgent activities in proximate areas, the Office of the Commissioner deems it prudent to cancel the PBA game scheduled in South Cotabato on Feb 7, 2015," said PBA Media Bureau Chief Willie Marcial in an announcement on Monday, February 2.

One of my favorite portions during the Mutya ng Tantangan 2015 coronation night held last January 24 at the Tantangan Municipal Gymnasium was the production number wherein the candidates wore haute couture gowns made by talented local designers.

The gowns really showcased the ingenuity and craftsmanship of budding South Cotabateño designers as they used indigenous materials for their creations.

Mr. Jun Casayao was named as Best Designer during the night for his outstanding creation worn by Candidate #3.

Meanwhile, Ms. Dannah Grace A Lingas from Brgy. Bukay Pait brought home the title of Mutya ng Tantangan 2015. See full list of winners here.

The Mutya ng Tantangan pageant was among the highlights of Kulitangtang Festival which also coincides with the founding anniversary of the Municipality of Tantangan.
