Aside from the annual Agten Tufi Festival every September which celebrates the founding anniversary of the Municipality of Tupi, the next biggest event one should not missed every year in Tupi is the Kariton Festivalheld every first week of October.
Kariton Festival commemorates the usefulness of the carabao-pulled carts locally popular as kariton in the lives of the early people of Tupi and even until these days. The celebration also aims to bring the young generation back to old times when kariton was the main mode of transportation.

The much-anticipated Kariton Float Parade scheduled on October 5 will once again highlight this year's Kariton Festival celebration. During this activity artistically designed carts being pulled by a Carabao and loaded with different local produce such as vegetables, flowers, fruits, and many others will be paraded along major streets of Barangay Poblacion.
